Random Fact Friday

Random facts for 06/17/2013!

-Fact: This post is so inspiring.

Sarah Gim, over at the blog The Delicious Life, published this earlier this week, and I am really really inspired to start putting together a list of the things I believe in as well. I think it’s a great way to really think about your convictions, quirks, and dreams. Yes, I’m a nerd, being into ‘thought exercises’ and all.

-Fact: This post is so educational!

Its finals week, people, so yes, I’m on an educational, thought-provoking kick. Either way, I love that the EPA and the White House have acknowledged that good nutrition should TASTE good, and that it absolutely can, especially with fresh ingredients. Watch, salivate, make, repeat.

-Fact: I post mostly about food. But I try to be fashionable, too!

However, at 5 am I am not the most inspired individual. I present the newest of my web subscriptions, The Style-Up, a location-dependent, weather-curated report that arrives either the night before or in the morning (you choose) and suggests an outfit just for you! Based on preferences that you can tailor (hah, yay puns) by voting on outfits that the site and its community have uploaded in a Pinterest-like manner. I’ve only received two emails thus far, but both outfits suggested have been adorable and have helped me throw something together each morning that makes it looks like I at least turned the light on before grabbing madly at clothes in my closet!

-Fact: We’re taking it back to the food, yo.

Everyone has a bucketlist, and I even have binlists (the shorter, monthly version), but this is a customized bucketlist of my own for the culinary delights I’d like to tackle and conquer! Any suggestions for unique ideas to toss on there? Im not scared—give me your best!

And finally, the three newest recipe additions that I’m most excited to try. I found these perfect for a spring-y celebration…like a graduation luncheon! (See, there’s that whole ‘last- undergraduate-finals-week-ever’ thing on the brain again…)

-A delicious-looking grilled chicken—who else is beyond excited that its finally grilling season!?

-Some Thai Iced Tea to get you going (I love that orange hue…)

-And an indulgent, creamy dessert to top it all off!

Enjoy, and have a great weekend! Stay tuned for some of the things I believe in and (provided finals don’t obliterate me) some ideas for Memorial Day feastin’!
